About Us
SCHOOLTV.com (http://www.schooltv.com) is
a web-site designed to promote the writing, speaking, and software development
business of Keith Kyker and Christopher Curchy.
The SCHOOLTV.com web-site was first published in
January, 1998, and has been available online continuously since that time.
SCHOOLTV.com is funded entirely by Keith Kyker and Christopher Curchy, and
receives no financial or in-kind support from any educational institution.
The name "SCHOOLTV.com" indicates our emphasis on providing valuable products
and services for the school video and media production market.

Keith Kyker (M.Ed.)
has 22 years teaching experience, and has been working with school
television production for 18 of those years. He has earned degrees
in educational media/instructional technology and speech education from
the University of Central Florida. Keith currently serves as the
educational media specialist at Northwood Elementary School in
Crestview, Florida. Keith was previously the media specialist at
Lewis Middle School in Valparaiso, Florida where he earned District
Teacher of the Year honors in 1999. Before becoming a media specialist, Keith
taught television production, media production, public speaking, and
English at the high school and college levels. Keith
recently served on the committee that developed the assessment for
National Board Certification for library media, and was instrumental in
providing benchmarks for accomplished media practices. |

Christopher Curchy (Ed.S.)
is the media specialist at Jensen Beach High School in Martin County,
Florida. Prior to working at Jensen Beach High School, Christopher
was the media specialist at NorthLake Park Community School in Orlando,
Florida. He has also served as the technology instructor at Windy Ridge
PreK-8 School in Orlando. Before that time, Chris served a
successful 10-year stint as the television production instructor at Dr.
Phillips High School in Orlando. Since graduating from the University of
Central Florida in 1977, Christopher has taught students in grades
kindergarten through high school in central Florida. Christopher
is an adjunct professor at the University Central Florida in the
Educational Technologies Graduate Program. |
Together, Keith and Chris have written six
educational technology books for Greenwood - Libraries Unlimited, and host the
popular web-site SCHOOLTV.COM (http://www.schooltv.com).
Additionally, they develop video production software, and have recently authored
a DVD and CD-ROM to supplement their latest textbooks. Keith and Chris have
presented to thousands of educators at more that 50 conferences and educational
gatherings in 14 states.
